I signed up to Birch Box! Mainly because I love trying new products. I want to test some more brands, so that I know i'm buying the right beauty products for myself.
Each month I will be giving you guys and insight into my months BirchBox, and reviewing each product.

This month we received an extra gift, one I was pretty excited to get my hands on.
Spectrum makeup brushes have been flooding my social feed recently and I had been planning on getting a pack. Now i've had the chance to try one I am certain I will be investing in a set. Super soft, great application and it looks so cute!

Next up with have blush from Cargo. If I am honest, I have been using it as an eye shadow, I don't know if this is ok but it looks great. Lovely pink with a slight shimmer.
In terms of blush, not the best one i've used, I would prefer more of a shimmer. But for the eyes this looks great.
Last night I was invited along to the Sunspel store in London, Soho for their launch in collaboration with Cubitts. I was lucky enough to hear talks about the brand's heritage, insights into what went into making a pair of spectacles as well as the thought process behind one of the best sunglass collaborations yet, from the founder of Cubitts, Tom Broughton.
The collection includes five sunglasses across three silhouettes, with each individual style named after a building in their factory in Long Eaton. Each pair includes a signature Sunspel case and cleaning cloth.
The idea behind the collaboration was to take a classic silhouette frame and give it a Sunspel styled twist. On one frame adding a 50's styled cut on the inner crook.
Custom detailing was key in this collection, each silhouette holding the signature Sunspel crest on the Milling Groves. The collection features a colour theme most fitting to Sunspel, with sharp cool hues, subtle chalkiness and the classic black and turtle.
During Tom's talk, he walked us through the steps of making a pair of glasses, showing us his own tools and materials and letting us in on a few tricks of the trade. He also gave us a brief history of spectacles and spoke about some interesting upcoming projects. Cubitts are currently working on developing glasses out of a range of materials including concrete and wool.
All in all, it was a wonderful event, great gin, amazing people and a pleasure to meet the team behind the Cubitts X Sunsel collaboration.
